About Freund Mayer & Co.
Founded in 1945 by German immigrant Harold Mayer, Freund-Mayer began introducing fine European stationery and writing accessories to the American market. In the 1950s, through enduring partnerships with Italian artisans in Florence, we became the first company to bring sealing wax and wax seal stamps to the modern American gift trade. That collaboration continues to this day across family generations, and together we continue to develop original wax seal designs that remain the most popular part of our collection. Building on this legacy, Freund-Mayer continues to curate and produce one of the most comprehensive selections of sealing wax, wax seal stamps, and vintage writing accessories—blending old-world craftsmanship with enduring design. In doing so, we preserve a centuries-old art of personal expression, still used today to bring a distinctive and personal touch to modern correspondence. For over 81 years, we have expanded our European sourcing relationships, growing into a trusted wholesale importer and distributor, bringing the finest sealing wax, wax seal stamps, and vintage writing accessories from Italy and beyond to fine retail stores across the U.S. and around the world.

This is SUCH a great company to work with! Shipping is incredibly fast and the customer service is genuinely 10/10. I messaged them to see if there was any chance I could get my order sooner than the estimated delivery date, and they responded the same day and had my order shipped out the very next day! I run a horror-themed pop-up bookshop + gift shop, and their ink and feather quills and ballpoint pens are a HUGE hit. They absolutely fly off the shelves! Phenomenal quality and great service.
