About By Aleisha

(BY) ALEISHA is an artist-led travel and lifestyle brand creating thoughtfully designed goods inspired by the places we love. Founded by artist and designer Aleisha Nelson, the brand began in a college dorm room with a paintbrush, a love of travel, and a hand-painted map of San Francisco. Today, Aleisha’s original illustrations can be found across a growing collection of art prints, paper goods, home goods, accessories, and keepsakes celebrating cities and destinations across the globe. At the heart of (BY) ALEISHA is a simple idea: souvenirs can be beautiful. We’re reimagining the traditional souvenir through an artist’s lens—creating colorful, design-forward pieces that feel equally at home in a thoughtfully curated shop, whether purchased by a traveler or a local who loves their city. Since 2022, we’ve maintained a permanent retail presence at San Francisco’s iconic Ferry Building, where (BY) ALEISHA is a top-performing vendor among 40+ independent brands. This gives us the unique opportunity to test new products firsthand with thousands of locals and tourists and bring proven bestsellers to our wholesale partners. Every collection is still hand-illustrated by Aleisha, keeping the artist’s hand—and a sense of place—at the heart of everything we make. Read their story
