Hi! My name is Blanca and I started Latinx Swag in 2017 after graduating with a PhD and needing to fund moving costs and those related to becoming a licensed psychologist. I started off selling pro-immigrant and anti-racist pins which eventually led to earrings, necklaces, and keychains. I learned many skills during the pandemic and now sell over 120 products that I design or handmade myself. As an artist and maker, I stand at the intersection of art and technology, using different machines to make the products on this site. I use laser machines to engrave tumblers, use sublimation to make my coffee mugs, accessories, and mousepads, a sewing machine to make dog bandanas, and different printing techniques to bring you totebags and art prints. When you shop at Latinx Swag you are getting a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art you won’t find at any Big Box store. I now work part time as a psychologist and the rest of the time as an artist.
