With the tides was born from a deep and unwavering love of the ocean. Each artwork begins with a real seaweed specimen, sustainably foraged from the beaches of the Northern Rivers, NSW Australia. Carried by the currents and shaped by the tides, every piece of seaweed has its own unique form and story. Once collected, each specimen is carefully pressed and preserved to honour its intricate structure and organic beauty, before being printed locally on a beautifully textured archival cotton rag. Each print carries a memory of a particular tide, a particular stretch of coastline, on a particular day. My hope is that these artworks invite people to slow down, reconnect with nature, and find beauty in the often-overlooked details of the natural world. They are created for ocean lovers, beachcombers, collectors, and anyone who feels most at home by the sea. At its heart, With the tides is a celebration of the natural world and the quiet rhythms that shape it. Every decision, from sustainably foraged seaweed, to archival materials, local printing and considered packaging, is made with the intention of creating pieces that honour both the coastline that inspires them and the homes they become part of.
