About Stefania Calugi Tartufi

Truffle people since 1908, in the heart of Tuscany. Our story began with a truffle hunter and his dog. In the early 1900s, Antonio Calugi started searching the woods around Castelfiorentino, and the passion was handed down from father to son: to Guido, then to Renato, and finally to Stefania. In 1987, while still very young, Stefania turned the family tradition into a company that carries her name, starting from a tiny workshop in the centre of Castelfiorentino. Today she leads the company together with Jurij Marchetti, an expert truffle hunter, and a team that feels like one big family. Everything begins with the raw material. We work truffle grounds that we own, both organic and non organic, and a network of trusted truffle hunters we have selected over the years. Knowing exactly where each truffle comes from lets us choose only what meets our standard, and turn it into creams, butters, oils, salts, petals and Tuscan specialties that are ready to use. Quality is checked at every step and every product is fully traceable. Our certifications include IFS Food, BRCGS, Organic and Halal, and our products have been recognised with awards such as Great Taste Gold and the Tuscany Food Awards. Today we ship to more than 40 countries, but the recipe is the same as ever: respect for the land, passion for the ingredient, and a Tuscan story that keeps growing.Read their story
