About The Lavender Whim

Jill-Ann Mark is a watercolor illustrator creating from her home studio in Ellicott City, Maryland. Always a believer in surrounding herself with color, Jill-Ann draws inspiration from the native gardens, fruit and vegetable plantings, and creatures that she and her husband tend in their half-acre suburban yard. Her creativity finds a special charge from wandering new landscapes and experiencing other cultures so a suitcase and portable painting kit are always close at hand. All The Lavender Whim products are designed to embrace and inspire joy, heart, and human connection. A well-considered blend of lighthearted humor (never snarky) and gentle affirmations allows our brand to span genders, ages, and relationships. We're always looking for new ways to lower our environmental footprint; we aspire to do good things while making good things. -- Read their story
