I started collecting beads when I was quite small. I made my first bracelet in the second grade and by twelfth grade had sold my first pieces of jewelry to teachers and fellow students. I began selling my jewelry retail at art fairs and wholesale to local shops immediately upon graduating from high school in 1988. I started working with ancient Roman glass shards and a manufacturer's rep in 1993 and by the late 1990s began dealing in loose rare faceted gemstones. I gave up retail art fairs and my rep for a wholesale venue selling both my gems and finished jewelry at the Tucson Gem and Mineral shows every February. During these years I also enjoyed robust wholesale jewelry sales via WholesaleCrafts.com (now IndieMe.com). By 2012 family constraints forced me to give up the Tucson venue as well as the loose rare faceted gem business. I now sell my jewelry retail on ETSY, through my local center for the arts, and some small town art fairs, but I am looking forward to regrowing my wholesale business. I love working with pearls, rare gemstones, sterling silver, gold fill, and ancient Roman glass. Please check back often as I am always uploading new items.
