KENDI AMANI began with a hat and a problem Kendi couldn't find a solution for. While visiting family in her native country, Kenya, Kendi wanted a wide-brim hat that would protect her hair and skin from the sun while reflecting her love for vibrant African prints. When she couldn't find one, she designed her own. That first design sparked what would eventually become KENDI AMANI. Today, our family-run brand creates distinctive jewelry, hats, bags, and adventure-ready accessories inspired by Africa and designed to bring color, confidence, and character to everyday style. But Kendi's vision has always been bigger than beautiful products. Growing up in Kenya, she saw firsthand the extraordinary workmanship of local women and dreamed of sharing their craftsmanship with the world. We produce our pieces in Kenya in partnership with talented artisans, predominantly women, creating meaningful economic opportunities while celebrating skills and techniques passed down through generations.
