About Care Studios | Beaded Animals, Jewelry, Décor & Gifts

Care Studios specializes in South African artisan handmade beaded goods with proven retail success. One museum partnership generated over $36,000 in retail sales within six months through a consignment program at The Museum of Flight. Care Studios products are top sellers for a variety of retailers, including independent bookstores, national park, and mission-driven women’s boutiques, museums, botanical gardens, and zoos. Our collections are handcrafted by talented artisans in South Africa and Zimbabwe whose livelihoods depend on every order. Led by Thenjiwe Pretty Nkogatsi, founder of Annointed Hands, women artisans preserve generations of Ndebele beadwork traditions while creating contemporary designs. Our sculptural wire collections are handcrafted by Zimbabwean master artisans Bowasi Manzvenga, Kennedy Mwashusha, Lenon Tinarwo, Livingstone Dombodzvuku, Telmore Masangudza, and Panghanai Phiri. Care Studios is a social enterprise operated by DTCare, supporting artisan livelihoods while funding education for 28 children through a program founded in 2019. Every order includes shelf talker cards sharing the artisans’ stories, cultural heritage, and social impact to help increase customer engagement and sales. Most products ship within 8–10 business days. Handmade-to-order items may require additional production time. Proud Member of the Fair-Trade Federation and Museum Store Association. Museum-quality. Ethically handcrafted. Authentically African. Proven to sell. Read their story
