About The Meal Bar

The Meal Bar was started by Thad Cummings. The origin of the brand began as every story does; when one cannot find anything healthy on the shelves, we take to the kitchen. Thad was doing triathlons pulling kiddos with cerebral palsy through races and he needed a protein bar that was not pure sugar but had a lot of fat and protein to get him through the race. Additionally, when working in the hospital during Covid, lunch breaks disappeared in what was the most stressful environment the industry has ever faced. During 13-15hrs of working non-stop without a break, the most exciting meal a person may get is a candy bar or a protein bar, neither of which could sustain you. So the idea of a performance protein bar merged with the idea of the 12-hour bar; a bar that can sustain you. From there, the idea of The Meal Bar grew: Not only to a product that would sustain you and restore your energy but also could give back to the community and climate. The Meal Bar is a brand that seeks to minimize transport and resources by working together with local, regenerative farmers and using healthy, wholesome ingredients for optimal nutrients. The bars will be given to communities that are in need of nutritious foods and educate them on health. The Meal Bar has become a brand with a mission to restore health, communities, and the planet.Read their story
