Funk is for playlists, not armpits. Terra and Self started from my own journey of trying to switch to natural in 2015, after learning that my grandmother had battled breast cancer twice. For over five years I dealt with itchy, irritated pits, smelling like ground beef, or both. Finally in 2020 I decided to make something better. Once I figured out that baking soda was the culprit, I formulated a magnesium powered, baking soda free deodorant that actually works. We are a woman owned brand founded in 2020 and handcrafted in small batches in Riverside, California. Every deodorant is aluminum free and baking soda free, with no synthetic fragrance, scented only with essential oil blends I make in house. Our refillable system is what brings customers back again and again. They keep the case and repurchase the plastic free compostable refills, which means steady reorders for your shelf instead of a one time sale.
