About Tactical Gear Junkie Morale Makers

Surprise!!! We didn’t always make patches. Back in 2011, our company lived in the basement of a gym at a military school. Not exactly glamorous. We started by supplying their summer camp program with uniforms, name tapes, and novelty items. During the off-season and every spare weekend we loaded up what extra gear we had and sold it at gun shows and online. That hustle is where the name Tactical Gear Junkie was born. At the time, we had big plans. The goal was to build the next great tactical gear brand. But the universe had other ideas. To keep the lights on, we said yes to just about anything: military name tapes, insignia, the occasional patch whatever paid the bills for a brand-new business trying to find its footing. Somewhere along the way, those “occasional” patches started getting a lot more attention. At gun shows and in our inbox, the requests kept coming. “Why aren’t there police patches?” “Where’s the firefighter stuff?” “You know what would be hilarious? You should make a patch that says…” Before long, it became clear: patches weren’t a side project they were the thing. What started as a few custom requests quickly turned into nonstop production. We hired more hands, added machines, and expanded our capabilities year after year. Eventually, making patches wasn’t just part of the business it was the business. And that’s how a basement startup turned into a patch manufacturer trusted by customers worldwide.Read their story
