About Gay Isber Designs
Interesting jewelry for interesting people. Gay Isber Designs creates bold, conversation-starting jewelry for retailers looking for pieces their customers will not see everywhere else. Each piece is handmade in Texas by award-winning jewelry artist Sugar Gay Isber, using a remarkable mix of vintage components, gemstones, fossils, minerals, pearls, crystals, and carefully sourced findings. Many materials come from a treasured New York archive of beads and chains dating from the 1950s through the 1980s, making some designs genuinely limited and impossible to reproduce once the vintage stock is gone. Sugar’s work ranges from colorful statement jewelry to sculptural wearable art, bridal pieces, cameos, seasonal collections and one-of-a-kind designs. The goal is always the same: jewelry that makes people stop, look and say, “Wow.” Sugar has written multiple jewelry books and is a longtime college-level jewelry instructor in Austin, Texas. Her work has been featured in film, television, fashion shows, advertising, editorial shoots and red-carpet styling, and her jewelry has been presented to members of the British Royal Family. Sugar personally makes and finishes every order, then packages it with care using signature Gay Isber Designs presentation materials, including USA-made tags and boxes whenever possible. Handmade.
