About L'Atelier de Brume

L’Atelier de Brume is my little world apart. Creativity and hands-on activities have always been a way for me to express myself, where words and school learning haven’t always been easy, notably because of a neuro disability. It’s in materials, shapes and colors that I found my way of telling stories. I created L’Atelier de Brume to bring this universe to life: a colorful, playful, sometimes strange, always slightly offbeat world. There I handcraft ceramics that don’t aim to be tame or perfectly ordinary. From everyday objects to little improbable creatures, I love playing with forms, subverting conventions and slipping a dose of humor and poetry into the objects that surround us. My world draws as much from nature and witchcraft as from naïve art, color, feminism and anything that falls outside the boxes. My studio is at once my experimental laboratory, my creative lair and my refuge. Behind each piece is the desire to create freely, to make people smile, to spark curiosity and to put a little more whimsy back into everyday life.
