About Oblik Atelier

Oblik Atelier is a Brooklyn-based jewelry studio founded by Mia Hebib, a classically trained metalsmith who over the last two decades has been designing and fabricating sculptural jewelry by hand. Oblik is a Croatian word meaning form. Every piece is created using traditional metalsmithing techniques, forging, forming, soldering. There are no molds and no castings, so each piece, as it passes through Mia’s hands, is unique, as no two jewelry pieces are ever identical. Mia works in brass, sterling silver and custom work in gold and platinum. Brass pieces are finished in 14k nickel free plating. The forms are drawn from Mia's travels, architecture, landscapes, and shapes she observes moving through the world. Each piece is intentional and It is designed to be genuinely sculptural and genuinely wearable, bold without being heavy, truly art in motion. Mia graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and brings deep industry experience to the studio. Her accolades include relaunching the Robert Lee Morris collection and being a creative director for AllSaints and Coach wholesale, along with time at Henri Bendel and her industry beginnings with Liz Claiborne accessory division. Oblik is carried by fine art and craft museums across the US as well as art galleries and specialty boutiques. Every piece ships directly from the Brooklyn studio.
