About Transpainter

Transpainter is a nonbinary trans-owned, woman-owned studio pairing meticulous botanical illustration with LGBTQ+ affirmations and unapologetic trans joy. Founded by artist Rae Senarighi, the line spans prints, apparel, cards, stickers, and pins, all built around one message: you are loved, exactly as you are. Rae is best known for Transcend, a series of larger-than-life trans and nonbinary portraits, and for the You Are Loved campaign — started with a single billboard in Madison, Wisconsin and now hundreds of billboards, yard signs, and bumper stickers nationwide. The work has been recognized by Netflix and GLAAD, and covered by San Francisco Weekly, Our Lives Magazine, and Isthmus. Behind the brand is a tiny, hands-on team: Rae makes the art, Gina runs global operations and wholesale, and Amber handles fulfillment — a small-batch scale that means fast communication and consistent quality. For retailers, Transpainter fills a hard-to-source gap: fine-art-quality botanical illustration that is also explicitly, visibly pro-LGBTQ+. It sells year-round as gift and home decor, with seasonal spikes around Pride, back-to-school, and the holidays, plus steady demand from healthcare spaces, therapists, schools, and gift shops whose customers want their support seen, not implied. Every piece a store stocks helps fund the You Are Loved campaign, so your shelf becomes part of a larger public art initiative. With love, Rae & the Transpainter team Read their story
