About TapKeeps

TapKeeps started with a simple question: what if the cute thing hanging from your bag could actually do something? We combined colorful, handmade bag charms with NFC technology to make a little product with a surprise inside. Tap a TapKeeps charm with your phone (no app, login or subscription needed) and a new message appears every day, along with a journal prompt to go with it. But these aren’t your average affirmations. Our messages are honest, funny, encouraging and sometimes suspiciously specific. Think less motivational poster and more “okay, how did my bag charm know I needed to hear that today?” Each one comes with a short prompt to reflect on or write about. With 365 unique messages and zero repeats, customers have a reason to keep tapping all year long. Every TapKeeps is designed, 3D-printed, assembled and programmed by hand in Pittsburgh, in playful designs customers want on their bags even before they find out what happens when they tap. For shops, that means a “Wait, it does WHAT?” moment at the register: an easy impulse buy, a go-to gift and a reason for customers to come back for another. Cute on the outside. Something extra on the inside.Read their story
