Manufaktor Studio began in 1999, inspired by a love of creating and the storytelling possibilities of paper. I see paper not simply as a material, but as a medium that can bring characters, stories, and imagination to life. In my studio, I design and make moving paper puppets, marionettes, paper theatres, thaumotropes, and other unique paper objects. Every piece is my own original creation, shaped by careful design and detailed handwork. My marionettes are especially close to my heart, with their distinctive characters, costumes, and expressive movements. Inspired by historical paper theatres and early optical toys, my work combines traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary, playful, and slightly eccentric visual language. I create objects that are both interactive and collectible, inviting people to explore, handle, and enjoy them. For me, these creations are about more than objects. They encourage curiosity, storytelling, and shared experiences across generations. Over the years, my work has found its way to collectors, families, museums, and shops around the world while remaining deeply personal and handmade. I am always happy to collaborate with museum stores, galleries, and independent shops that work with artists and makers, and appreciate the care, creativity, and craftsmanship behind handmade objects.
