About Six Acre Meadow

Being hugely influenced by the beautiful painting Ophelia by Sir John Everett Millais, Six Acre Meadow was born out of a love of all things feminine, whimsical and botanical, but most importantly, a desire to create products with a longer life than the disposable alternatives they replace. Founder Clara graduated with a Fashion Design degree in 2007 and spent over a decade working within the fashion industry, eventually reaching the position of Head of Design. Alongside her career, evenings and weekends were dedicated to creating the things she couldn't stop thinking about: handmade clothing, upcycled pieces, pouches and small collections driven by curiosity and creativity rather than trends or sales targets. As her fashion career progressed, so did her frustration with the industry's wastefulness and relentless pace of consumption. What began as making pouches from saved fabric remnants as an alternative to disposable packaging gradually evolved into something much bigger. Today, Six Acre Meadow brings together Clara's background in Fashion Design, her love of vintage treasures, botanical illustration and romantic storytelling through design. The collection includes reusable gifting and lifestyle pieces intended to be used, treasured and enjoyed long after their first purpose has passed.Read their story
