About Milkweed Studios

Milkweed Studios is my creative practice that brings the viewer back to nature, back to the roots. My work focuses on creating these scenes using ink and watercolor in drawings and paintings. I’m drawn to both the delicacy and strength of line work and how it can take on endless forms. Creating with the fluidity of these mediums comes naturally to me as I work with their ebbs and flows, incorporating their mark making into the piece. Just like nature, using these mediums requires a give and take to capture these moments in time. With my work, I invite the viewer to stop and practice the art of noticing what’s usually overlooked. -SimoneRead their story
