About Bestiaire Cabinet

CURIOUS CARDS FOR CURIOUS PEOPLE Bestiaire Cabinet is a Long Beach–based, woman-owned studio reimagining animals through art, character, and a little bit of the unexpected. Within this collection, nothing is ordinary and nothing is accidental. These are not just animals, and not quite characters. They exist somewhere in between: composed, self-aware, and entirely comfortable with their own absurdity. Drawing inspiration from iconic hairdos, classic art, legendary monsters, and unmistakable figures from popular culture, each piece takes something instantly familiar and reimagines it somewhere it has absolutely no business being. There is humor in them, but it is delivered with complete seriousness, as though the absurdity itself deserves respect. That same attention extends to the cards themselves. Each piece is presented in a generously sized format of A9 or smaller size of A2, on substantial paper with a satisfying, luxurious heft. A unique patterned interior creates a small, unexpected surprise when the recipient opens it. A gold foil seal completes the presentation, making the entire piece feel considered from front to back. Thoughtfully crafted. Made to be kept. Designed to be displayed, framed, or treasured long after it’s opened. A little strange. Entirely memorable. Unnatural, yes. But presented exactly as they deserve to be.Read their story
