About Modest Riso House
Welcome to Modest Riso House, a design and print studio creating thoughtfully designed greeting cards from our small studio in Holland, Michigan. Our house rule is simple: make things with care, pay attention to the details, and create work that brings a little more joy into everyday moments. Each card is designed and printed in-house using risograph printing, a unique process that embraces the imperfections of handmade work. Texture changes, color variations, and slight misalignments make every card a little different. We care about quality, texture, color, and creating cards that feel special from start to finish. All cards are printed on 100% recycled FSC certified papers with vegetable based inks, using paper sourced locally from Niles, Michigan. Founded by husband and wife team Spenser and Zoé, Modest Riso House combines years of retail experience, design, and a love for the small details that make life interesting.
