About Owa Owa

Owa Owa is a Chicana-owned, family-run pet brand created for the dogs and cats we love like family. I started Owa Owa because I wanted better for my own dogs. I was the kind of dog mom who read every ingredient label and would happily make everything from scratch if I had unlimited time. I knew I wasn't the only one. So I created the products I wished existed: playful, nostalgic treats made with real, recognizable ingredients and inspired by the culture, memories, humor, and family traditions I grew up with as a Mexican-American woman in Los Angeles. That's how Pup Noodles, Chewrros, Conchitas, Puerquitos, Fluffin Hot Cheewtos, Meatzapawns and more came to life. Our products may be playful on the outside, but we're serious about what goes inside. Our treats center real animal proteins and thoughtfully selected ingredients because pet parents shouldn't have to choose between something fun and something they feel good about feeding. Owa Owa is also truly a family business. My mom is a seamstress, and together with my parents, we create handmade pet pieces inspired by the colors and traditions we grew up around. At the heart of Owa Owa is a belief that loving your pet deeply is never “too much.” We're creating a world where our pets get to be part of the foods, traditions, and little moments that make life feel like home. We hope customers pick up Owa Owa because it makes them smile... and come back because they trust what's inside. Read their story
