About For The Library Of

For The Library Of began as a love letter to books and to the quiet, transformative power they hold. I have always believed that stories are not just meant to be read. They are meant to be carried. Worn. Whispered. Passed between people like treasures. I have lived many lives: a poet, a disaster responder, a Disability Rights Activist, and a whimsy artist. Through every version of myself, books have been a constant. They have anchored me. They have raised me. They have reminded me that the smallest things: a poem, a sentence, a well-worn page can hold entire worlds. One day, I held a discarded book in my hands and thought, "You still matter. You’re not done yet". So I began handbinding miniature books using traditional techniques, giving new life to pages that might have otherwise been lost. I work with a local thirft store and the city's library to gather my books. Each piece is made with intention and care, from rescued materials, in the spirit of wonder and reclamation. Today, For The Library Of is a celebration of literature, craft, and second chances. Every tiny book is a wearable story, one you can take with you into the wild, into the everyday, or into the unknown. This is for the lovers of language. For the underdogs. For the libraries within us all. Read their story
