Welcome — I’m Amy Barickman, longtime vintage enthusiast, sewing-pattern designer, and author. For over 30 years I’ve been rescuing, curating, and celebrating the beauty and history of handmade things — fabrics, quilts, embroidery books, patterns, and more — inspired by childhood days spent hunting estate sales and antique shops with my mom. My book Love You to Pieces: A Gift of Friendship grew directly from this lifelong passion: within its pages you’ll find gorgeous vintage quilts paired with heirloom dolls and cloth characters — each a stitched story of friendship, memory, and handmade love. And with Vintage Notions, I set out to revive the timeless wisdom and charm of domestic arts — sewing, cooking, quilting — reintroducing classic techniques, patterns, and creative inspiration from decades past.
