About The Americana Project
My work focuses on Americana, architecture, and the human-built landscape, exploring how communities express identity through their structures, signage, and commercial design. For more than a decade I have photographed both big cities and small towns across the United States, documenting the evolution of commercialism, consumer culture, and the overlooked places that sit quietly between past and present. I’m drawn to preserved architectural landmarks, retro typography, industrial remnants, and the “jewels in the middle of nowhere” that define everyday American life. Having lived a nomadic life for many years, my photography is also an exploration of my own relationship with place. My photography spans 41 U.S. states and 25 countries. My work has been featured in publications including Baltimore Magazine, and I have been commissioned by cities and organizations to document local environments in New York City, New Haven, Long Island, and Peoria, Illinois. I was also commissioned to photograph the city of Alexandria, Virginia for the photobook Alexandria, Virginia: A Photographic Portrait. In addition to commissioned work, I sell fine art prints through The Americana Project to both private collectors and interior designers for residential and commercial spaces.
