About Samsam Living

Sāmsam Living brings traditional craft into contemporary living. We work with independent artisans and designers who understand their materials deeply, preserving the subtle variations, textures, and traces of the hand that industrial production often leaves behind. But for us, being handmade is not an end in itself. The choice of material, form, and technique should grow from how an object is meant to look, feel, and be used. We believe an object can be useful without being ordinary, and beautiful without becoming untouchable. The pieces we choose are made to live alongside us—to be touched and used, gathering traces of everyday life and, over time, becoming vessels for memory. In choosing objects meant to be kept rather than replaced, we hope to offer an alternative to fast consumption while supporting the independent makers behind them, so that their craft can remain a living, evolving practice.Read their story
