About Alena Kazen Designs

I offer a variety of fun craft kits to inspire creativity and joy to beginners and experts alike! I have been crafting since I was a young child. My mom taught me cross stitch and sewing at the young age of 8. My uncle showed me rug hooking and punch needle at age 10. It always brought me joy to make beautiful things with my hands. At 12 I had a small business making friendship bracelets and put on a fashion show with upcycled clothing items! I love to learn new skills and try the latest in the crafting world. In 2020 the pandemic forced our local school district into online school. With 3 young kids schooling at home I needed a sanctuary for myself. I set up a table in a spare room and fell in love with painting videos. Painting purely for pleasure I built up quite a stock pile of art. At the suggestion of many friends I've opened my business mostly as a way to fund my art and craft supplies! My art obsessions have continued into embroidery, punch needle and kinusaiga.
