Our story begins in Kızılcabölük, a small weaving village in Denizli, Türkiye, where the art of weaving has been passed down through generations. My name is Muharrem, and I grew up surrounded by the sounds of weaving looms and colorful cotton yarns. Weaving traditional Turkish towels, known as peshtemals, was my grandfather's profession and our family's way of life. From childhood through university, I spent my summers helping my family, learning the craftsmanship, patience, and love behind every thread. Although life took me on a different path, it eventually brought me back to my roots and the craft I have always loved. Today, through Turkish Towels, based in Griffin, Georgia, I'm proud to share our family's weaving heritage with American retailers. Our collection includes traditional Turkish towels, blankets, and versatile woven textiles that bring timeless craftsmanship into modern homes.
