About Fermín Ibérico
Fermín was founded in 1956 as a small family business in La Alberca, Salamanca, by Fermín Martín and Victoriana Gómez. For more than 60 years, the company has produced premium artisanal Ibérico products, using the unique climate of the Sierra de Francia for natural curing and ageing. Today, the second generation of the family runs the company, preserving its traditional methods and controlling the entire production process, from raising Ibérico pigs on its own farm to producing and curing the final products. In 2005, Fermín became the first company authorised to export Ibérico products to the United States. Today, the brand is present in more than 20 countries and, in 2016, became the first company authorised to export organic Ibérico pork to the US.
